What is Jagua Tattoo?
It is a temporary tattoo that I freehand with skin-safe ink made out of Jagua fruit juice.
I use materials from InkBox. It is a Canadian brand!

How much does a tattoo cost?
All tattoos start at $5. The final price is dependent on the size and location of the body where it will be placed.
The process of a Jagua Tattoo application
I use InkBox materials such as a freehand tattoo marker and freehand ink gel.
Tattoo Marker application process:
  1. I draw your tattoo with the regular pan before applying an actual ink.
  2. I apply InkBox marker on your skin.
  3. We wait 10 minutes.
  4. I apply the Development patch or band-aid.
  5. Wait 1 hour
How should I prepare for my tattoo?
Gently exfoliate the area of skin you're planning to get tattooed.

I mostly draw jagua tattoos on the hands, or insides of forearms, but if you want any other area that has hair on it - you should shave it 24 hrs before getting a tattoo.
Shaving can cause micro-cuts in the skin that put the skin at a higher risk of irritation. Post shaving, we suggest moisturizing the skin to heal any damage and keep it healthy for application.

Make sure you're wearing loose clothing and won't wet or sweat for the 8 hours after getting a tattoo.
AFTERCARE
Cover your tattoo with loose clothing the first night after tattoo application.
Don't wash the area for 6-8 hours.

Don’t sweat or shower at least 8 hours post application
Don’t scrub or exfoliate the area

INKBOX GEL - will pill off in an hour after application. You can help to pill off whatever is left with a napkin or wearing a glove. Don't use your fingers (they could be stained).
INKBOX MARKER - after taking off the patch in an hour, you could wash your tattoo and cover it with dark loose clothing.

More tips from InkBox:
  • Keep your tattoo moisturized, using a water-based moisturizer
  • After 24 hours, moisturize the area daily
  • If you’re going to swim, cover your tattoo with a balm/jelly
YOUR TATTOO WILL BE FULLY DEVELOPED IN 24-36 HOURS!
It takes 24-36 hours for your tattoo to develop and darken - it's part of the Inkbox magic! 🌟
So don't worry if your design is light blue at first - it’ll get darker over the next day or so.
Is it safe to get a jagua tattoo?
I use materials from InkBox.
Here are their recommendations:
Age 10+
The areas to avoid: face, neck, upper chest, intimate areas, or irritated or damaged skin.
Please consult your healthcare professional before using this product if you have pre-existing health conditions, or after use if you experience redness, itching, or swelling (never happened to me or to my clients!).
Does getting a Jagua tattoo hurt?
NOT AT ALL
Can I swim or work out after applying my tattoo?
Inkbox tattoos are waterproof! Because the ink sinks into the top layer of the skin, it can withstand exposure to water and sweat.

✔ A few things to note:

Wait at least 8 hours post-application before working out, showering, or going for a swim.
Swimming in chlorinated water will impact the longevity of your tattoo - so will extended exposure to water. To protect your tattoo when swimming, apply some balm (such as petroleum jelly) over the tattoo before hopping into the water.

How can I remove my tattoo?
The best way to remove your tattoo is to lightly exfoliate with one of the following:

Warm salt water - we find that this works best!
A body scrub
A washcloth
💡 Be gentle with your skin and stop scrubbing if you feel any discomfort.

Note: Because our ink sinks into the top layer of your skin, it's tougher to remove the pigment immediately after application. You might need to wait a few days for your skin to start regenerating before being able to scrub the ink away.
